Instead of rendering a game at a lower resolution to gain performance, vorpX uses the method to improve the image clarity while rendering the game at the same resolution as before.Īlso two new game profiles have been added: F1 2021 and Deathloop.įidelityFX is enabled per default and can be configured further on the ‘Image’ page of the vorpX menu with the ‘Clarity’ option. Note that FidelityFX works kind of the other way around than it does usually in games.

Disabling head tracking now only affects game tracking, not immersive/cinema tracking. Various games that require to be started with a specific 3D API are now restarted automatically if the wrong API is detected on start (e.g. D3D9 G3D: up to 20% better FPS in games that do lots of state reads, e.g. Newer games / higher resolutions are more likely to be GPU bound.
Note that for the most part this only translates into higher framerates in older DX11 games and/or with lower resolutions. TrackIR detection/handling: if vorpX detects TrackIR support in a game, it can now automatically utilize that for head tracking, e.g. It will download the latest version available. If it doesn’t for some reason, simply use the web installer that you received when you purchased vorpX. If you already own vorpX, it should auto-update when you start vorpX Control next time. Supported headsets: Oculus Rift, Rift S, Quest 1/2 (via Oculus Link), HTC Vive, Valve Index, Pimax, Windows Mixed Reality and other SteamVR compatible headsets.
